Abbey Pub!
Wow…is this thing dusty. “cough, cough”
I need to do a better job of keeping people up to date in the goings on of I Lost Control in this blog. Is it too late for a New Year’s resolution? How about a mid-year resolution? Yeah, review all the failed promises and re-assess. More blogging in the last half of 2010…check!
OK, now that’s been decided, I might as well get started and let you all know about our first ever Abbey Pub gig. We’re part of a 5 band lineup that starts at 8:30PM. Two short acoustic sets by London Anderson and Alexander Webb start things off. The rockin’ part of the evening starts at 9:30 with our rehearsal space partners, The Hurtin’ Kind. We follow at around 10:30PM with Magatha Trysy finishing off the night.
Tickets are $8 in advance (available here) and $10 at the door. 21 and over. Doors are at 8PM.
By the way, we were hoping for a Blackhawks Stanley Cup Celebration Friday, but now that isn’t going to happen. I want to remind everyone that The Abbey has another room where you can watch the game and grab a bite and a beer before our show. Everything you need is in one convenient place! There’s no excuse!
This may be the last time to see us live for a while. We’re working up some new songs and are looking to go into the studio this summer. Look for an EP of some sort in the fall!
Hope to see you there!
